Zero-Calorie Shaved Ice Hack
Two ingredients, no machine: blend plain ice into snow, pack it into a cup, and finish with a zero-calorie-labeled water enhancer. A cold, sweet, occasional hot-day treat — not fruit, and not a nutritional stand-in for it.
It's hot, you want something cold and sweet, and you don't want the sugar or calories of a syrup snow cone. An occasional treat — not a fruit serving.

First bite: cold, fine snow that collapses instantly. Then the fruit-punch flavor and sweetness from the water enhancer. No creaminess, no syrup weight — just cold and sweet.

Method
- 1BLEND ICE TO SNOW
Blend plain ice cubes until they break down into a fine, fluffy snow. Scoop the snow into a cup and press it level.
- 2CHECK THE LABEL
Reach for a liquid water enhancer whose package is labeled zero calories — MiO Fruit Punch on camera. 'Zero' is per the printed serving and subject to label rounding; it is not fruit.
- 3ADD THE FLAVOR
Squeeze the water enhancer over the packed snow just before eating so it stays fluffy instead of melting into slush.
- 4TWO COLORS + SERVE
For fun, add a second enhancer flavor on the other half for a two-color cup — the color is food dye, not fruit. Eat immediately while it's cold.
Three keys to success
- 1Blend plain ice — water only — until it becomes a fine, fluffy snow.
- 2Pack the snow into the cup and level it before flavoring.
- 3Add the water enhancer right before eating so the snow doesn't melt into slush.

Storage and nutrition
Storage: Make and eat fresh. Blended snow melts quickly and does not store.
