Beach Bum Creami

CrumblCreamiCut Week 2, Flavor 2 — blue protein Creami with graham cracker Respun through the pint, honey drizzle, and a Teddy Graham standing inside a peach ring like a beach bum on a float. ~340 cal / 42g protein whole pint.

Make this when

You want a protein dessert with a garnish gag — the Teddy-Graham-in-a-peach-ring float is what makes this recipe photograph. Ep. 5 of CrumblCreamiCut and Week 2's second flavor. Technique-wise, this is the FIRST flavor in Week 2 to use a machine mix-in — graham cracker goes in via Respin after the first spin, distributing crumb throughout the pint (Pineapple Whip / W2F1 had no mix-in cycle). Blue food coloring goes in BEFORE freezing like W2F1's yellow.

First spoon: blue-tinted protein ice cream with graham crumb pulled through the whole pint (not just on top). Middle: the honey drizzle threads through, floral and light, picking up the peach-gummy note. Top: the peach ring + Teddy Graham float sitting on the finished scoops — eat the Teddy first (the joke), then scoop through the peach ring, then work down through the graham-Respun blue base.

Ingredients

Single servingYields 1 serving — quantities below make one serving.

CREAMI BASE (series standard)

COLOR (blended in BEFORE freezing)

RESPIN MIX-IN (broken in AFTER first spin)

FINISH (post-scoop garnishes — the Beach Bum float)

Method

  1. 1
    POUR MILK

Add 1 cup Fairlife 2% ultra-filtered milk to a Creami pint (or blending vessel).

  2. 2
    ADD SWEETENER

2 tbsp monk fruit / erythritol sweetener. Series-standard sweetener.

  3. 3
    ADD WHEY ISOLATE

1 serving unflavored whey isolate. Aim for ~28g protein — brands vary, read the scoop.

  4. 4
    ADD GUAR GUM

1/8 tsp guar gum, LEVEL measure. Heaped = gummy texture. The single measurement in the base you have to get right.

  5. 5
    ADD SALT

1 pinch salt. Series-standard base ingredients now all in the vessel.

  6. 6
    ADD BLUE FOOD COLOR

A few drops of blue food coloring, added BEFORE the blend so it distributes evenly through the base pre-freeze. Start with 3-4 drops — you can always add more, harder to walk back neon blue.

  7. 7
    BLEND SMOOTH

Immersion blender until completely smooth and evenly blue. Zero lumps, zero visible whey, uniform color.

  8. 8

FREEZE (24 HR) + REST 5 MIN + FIRST SPIN: Freeze the pint upright and level for a full 24 hours. Rest at ROOM TEMPERATURE for 5 minutes — NO hot-water bath. Process on Regular Ice Cream, NOT Lite. The first spin may look powdery; that's expected because the Respin (with graham) finishes the texture.

  9. 9
    ADD GRAHAM CRACKER

Break one full graham cracker sheet into small pieces over the first-spin pint. Poke pieces into the surface — Respin distributes them through the whole pint.

  10. 10
    RESPIN

Run one Respin cycle. This is the technique differentiator vs W2F1 (Pineapple Whip had no mix-in). Respin distributes the graham crumb throughout the pint AND finishes the powdery texture from the first spin.

  11. 11
    SCOOP

Scoop the finished pint into a bowl. Blue Creami with visible graham crumb pulled through.

  12. 12
    HONEY DRIZZLE

Drizzle 1 tsp honey over the scoops. Threads through the blue and picks up the floral note that connects to the peach-gummy garnish.

  13. 13
    PEACH RING FLOAT

Place one peach gummy ring on top of the scoops. This is the inner-tube shape for the Teddy.

  14. 14
    TEDDY GRAHAM GARNISH

Stand one Teddy Graham upright inside the peach ring — beach bum on the float. Serve immediately, before the Teddy softens.

Adult plate | Kid plate

Adult plate

Adult

Full recipe as written — whole pint = 1 adult serving at ~340 cal / 42g protein.

Kid plate

Kid

Kids will fight over the Teddy + peach ring. Same base works as a smaller portion — cut the peach ring in half (choking-hazard shape) and serve the Teddy on the side rather than standing in the ring for under-4s. Blue color is optional if you avoid added dye for kids.

Three keys to success

  1. 1Standard base is series infrastructure — Fairlife 2%, not fat-free. Series-wide rule carries.
  2. 2Level 1/8 tsp guar gum. Heaped = gummy.
  3. 3BLUE COLOR GOES IN BEFORE THE BLEND — pre-freeze. Same technique family as W2F1's yellow color add.

Storage and nutrition

Storage: Store the frozen pint upright and level in the freezer for up to 1 week pre-spin. Once spun + Respun + topped with honey + peach ring + Teddy, eat immediately — the Teddy softens fast on cold ice cream and the peach ring can bleed dye if it sits.

Reheat: N/A — serve immediately after Respin + honey + peach ring + Teddy. If leftovers must refreeze, skip the garnish on the second pass, level the surface first, and reprocess only when the frozen top is flat.

Lasts: Frozen pint (pre-spin) keeps 1 week. Spun + Respun Creami keeps its texture for a few minutes; assemble the float garnish LAST and eat within 2-3 minutes of scooping.

Brands I use

Fairlife
Fairlife
2% Ultra-Filtered Milk
Same base as the whole CrumblCreamiCut series (W1F1/W1F2/W1F3/W2F1) — high-protein milk with enough fat to support a creamier Creami texture. 1 cup + 1 serving whey isolate is the standard 4-line base foundation. Not sponsored.
Honey Maid
Graham Crackers (1 sheet per pint, Respun in)
The graham crumb that gets distributed through the whole pint via Respin. ~65 cal per sheet. Any graham cracker works — Honey Maid is the mainstream reference and the flavor most people picture when they read 'graham cracker.'
Nabisco
Teddy Grahams (Honey — 1 cookie per pint, the beach-bum garnish)
The visual gag. One Teddy stands upright inside a peach ring on the finished scoops, reading as a swimmer on an inner tube. Honey flavor connects to the honey drizzle. Any small graham cookie in a creature shape works.
Local Honey
1 tsp per pint (~30 cal)
Floral drizzle that threads through the blue Creami and picks up the peach-gummy note. Any real honey works — locally-sourced honey has more character than clover, but clover works too.
Unflavored Whey Isolate
Any clean-tasting unflavored whey isolate — ~28g protein per serving
Series-standard protein spine. Isolate (not concentrate) blends smoother.
