2 Protein Dessert Backups When the Creami Isn't Ready
Ninja Creami is my favorite — but it takes planning. When the pint isn't frozen, these are the 2 protein desserts I grab. Choose ONE (do not add together).
The Ninja Creami takes planning — you have to freeze the pint hours ahead. These are the 2 protein desserts I grab when I forget. Option 1 wins when you want ice cream by itself. Option 2 wins when you want a brownie-forward dessert. Sibling recipe to the [Chocolate Protein Brownie Bowl](/cookbook/chocolate-protein-brownie-bowl) — same Prime Bites brownie base, cold-ice-cream pairing instead of the Bootylicious muffin cup. Adult-only macro dessert; not designed for kids.

Option 1: 1.5 labeled servings Protein Pints Coffee (or any Protein Pints flavor) = 180 cal / 15g protein. Option 2: 1 Prime Bites brownie + 1/4 pint lighter or high-protein ice cream (Halo Top, Frozen One, Protein Pints) = ~300 cal / 25-30g protein. The range in Option 2 depends on the ice cream flavor / brand selected — recheck against your specific pint.
Option 1: eat straight from a bowl — cold, coffee-forward, creamy. Option 2: the pairing IS the fix. Halo Top and Frozen One are average alone; a Prime Bites brownie underneath turns two average products into a real dessert. Cold ice cream slowly sinking into a room-temp brownie creates the textural moment.
Ingredients
OPTION 1: PROTEIN PINTS COFFEE (180 CAL / 15G PROTEIN)
OPTION 2: PRIME BITES BROWNIE BOWL (~300 CAL / 25-30G PROTEIN)
Method
- 1
OPTION 1 — PROTEIN PINTS COFFEE (180 CAL / 15G PROTEIN): Measure 1.5 labeled servings from a Protein Pints pint (Coffee is my favorite — the best protein ice cream I've tried). Any flavor works. Serve immediately. This is the pick when you want ice cream on its own with zero assembly.
- 2
OPTION 2 — PRIME BITES BROWNIE BOWL (~300 CAL / 25-30G PROTEIN): Unwrap 1 Prime Bites protein brownie and place it in a small dessert bowl. Any flavor works.
- 3
SCOOP 1/4 PINT ICE CREAM ON TOP: Add 1/4 pint of lighter or high-protein ice cream — Halo Top and Frozen One are both examples. Halo Top and Frozen One are average on their own; paired with the brownie, the full dessert becomes an easy 8/10.
- 4EAT IMMEDIATELY
The ice cream starts softening into the brownie within 30-60 seconds. The pairing IS the fix — two average products become one real dessert.

Storage and nutrition
Storage: N/A — make per serving. Both brownies and ice-cream pints are shelf/freezer stable individually per their labels.
Reheat: N/A — assemble fresh. Option 2's cold-on-brownie contrast is the dessert; reheating a leftover bowl wrecks it.
Lasts: Prime Bites brownies: months at room temp (per package date). Protein Pints / Frozen One / Halo Top pints: months in the freezer (per package date). The assembled Option 2 bowl doesn't store — eat immediately.
