Steak & Fries with Chimichurri
Bavette steak is the most underrated cut. Fast cook, insane flavor, and it slices beautifully against the grain. Pair it with a no-judge chimichurri (Spiceology seasoning + olive oil + vinegar) and air fryer fries. Kids swap to pork breakfast patties — zero resistance.
You want a proper steak dinner that feels like a restaurant but takes 20 minutes. Kids get pork patties + fries from the same cook — no second meal.

50% Adult / 50% Kid
Adult — Steak + Chimichurri
What makes it different
- 6 oz bavette steak per person
- SPG seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic)
- Cooking spray
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1.5 tbsp Spiceology Chimichurri seasoning
- 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
- Dash chili flakes
Kid — Pork Patties + Fries + Carrots
What makes it different
- 1.5 pork breakfast patties per kid
- Raw carrots (baby or sticks)
Three keys to success
- 1Rest the steak 5 minutes after cooking — this is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Skip it = dry steak.
- 2Slice THIN against the grain — wrong direction = chewy mess.
- 3Chimichurri needs 5-10 min to sit after mixing — don't skip or it tastes flat.

Storage and nutrition
Storage: Steak is best fresh. Chimichurri keeps 3-4 days in fridge.
Reheat: Don't reheat steak in microwave — slice cold for steak salad, or quick pan sear.
Lasts: Chimichurri: 3-4 days. Steak: eat same day.
