Taco-Seasoned Air-Fryer Chicken Thighs
The chicken is shared; the eating experience is not. Adults get four built tacos with six ounces of chicken and optional green sauce. Each child gets two ounces of chicken deconstructed with guacamole and a lightly ghee-brushed corn tortilla.
You want a fresh taco dinner without running two separate meals. Air-fry one batch of taco-seasoned chicken thighs, then build four full adult tacos and two smaller deconstructed kid plates.

12 oz cooked chicken for 2 adults / 4 oz cooked chicken for 2 kids
Shared base
Cook once — this part works for everyone.
- 1SEASON
Pat the thighs dry, coat with avocado oil, and season all over with taco seasoning.
- 2AIR-FRY
Arrange in one layer. Air-fry at 390°F for about 14-18 minutes, turning once, until the thickest piece reaches at least 165°F. Appliance and thigh thickness change the timing.
- 3REST + CHOP
Rest 5 minutes, then chop into bite-size pieces. Weigh the cooked chicken before building plates.
Adult — Four Chicken Tacos + Optional Green Sauce
- 4ADULT ONION-CILANTRO
Mix the diced onion, cilantro, lime, and salt. Rest 5 minutes to soften the raw-onion edge.

Warm four tortillas per adult. Add 1.5 oz cooked chicken to each, then cilantro-onion and the optional green sauce.
Kid — 2 oz Chicken, Deconstructed + Guacamole
- 4SOFTEN THE TORTILLA
Brush very lightly with melted ghee and warm only until pliable.
- 5PLATE

Storage and nutrition
Storage: Store cooked chicken, tortillas, cilantro-onion, guacamole, and green sauce separately. Refrigerate the chicken within 2 hours.
Reheat: Reheat only the chicken until hot, then warm tortillas just before serving. Add cold guacamole and green sauce after reheating.
Lasts: Cooked chicken: 3-4 days refrigerated. Cilantro-onion is best the same day. Follow the guacamole and green-sauce storage guidance on their own packages or recipe pages.
