Split point

AT THE PLATE — same skillet steak, same reheat, same broth. Adult vs kid forks on portion (1 1/3 vs 2/3 servings) + tortilla (Carb Counter vs regular Mission) + sauce (salsa roja vs Wholly guac) + chip (Khloud protein vs regular). Four axes of split for a 10-min dinner is a LOT — that's why the video-edit calls this out.

2 adult plates (1 1/3 servings steak + 3 Carb Counter tortillas + salsa roja + 1/2 serving Khloud chips each) / 2 kid plates (2/3 serving steak + 2 regular Mission tortillas + 1 Wholly Guacamole mini + 1/2 serving regular chips each, deconstructed).

Shared base

Cook once — this part works for everyone.

  1. 1
    SKILLET + STEAK

Nonstick skillet on medium-high. Add the full 22 oz Soules Kitchen steak (right from the package, no drain). Reserve the salsa roja packets.

  2. 2
    BROTH

Pour in 1/4 cup chicken bone broth (or water). Cover the skillet.

  3. 3
    HEAT

Medium-high, covered, 3-4 min. Stir once mid-way. Steak is FULLY COOKED — you're only reheating.

  4. 4
    TORTILLAS WARM

While the steak heats, warm 6 La Banderita Carb Counter (adult) + 4 Mission regular street-taco (kid) tortillas. Wrap both stacks in a clean towel or tortilla warmer.

Adult — 3 Carb-Counter Tacos + Salsa Roja + Khloud Chips

  1. 5
    ADULT SAUCE

Empty the included salsa roja packets into a small ramekin per adult plate.

  2. 6
    ADULT STEAK

1 1/3 servings steak (~7 oz) on the plate. Tortillas warm + folded next to it.

  3. 7
    ADULT CHIPS

1/2 serving Khloud Nacho Protein Chips beside the steak. Assemble tacos at the table.

Kid — 2 Regular Tacos + Wholly Guac + Regular Chips

  1. 5
    KID STEAK

2/3 serving steak (~3.5 oz) in one compartment of the tray.

  2. 6
    KID GUAC

1 Wholly Guacamole mini cup in another compartment. Peel the seal, set it in the tray.

  3. 7
    KID TORTILLAS + CHIPS

2 warm Mission street-taco tortillas folded next to the steak + 1/2 serving regular chips in the last compartment.

  • 2 Wholly Guacamole minis (1 per kid)
  • 1 serving regular tortilla chips (1/2 serving per kid)

Three keys to success

  1. 1STOVETOP OVER MICROWAVE. Every time. Add 1/4 cup bone broth (or water), cover, medium-high 3-4 min. This is the entire cook step.
  2. 2FAMILY PACK USES 1/4 CUP, NOT PACKAGE-SUGGESTED SMALLER AMOUNT. The 22 oz pack has more surface area — needs a bit more liquid than the label's default.
  3. 3TORTILLAS WARM SEPARATELY. Adult Carb Counter + kid Mission both go into a clean towel or tortilla warmer while the steak heats. Cold tortilla = split-plate failed.

Storage and nutrition

Storage: This is an emergency-inventory dinner, not a batch-cook. Keep the Soules Kitchen family pack refrigerated with the use-by date visible. Keep Carb Counter + Mission tortillas on the shelf. Keep Khloud + regular chips in the pantry. Wholly minis in the fridge (long shelf life).

Reheat: Leftover steak: covered skillet with a splash of broth on medium 2-3 min. Do not microwave. Assemble plates fresh — chips stay separate to preserve crunch.

Lasts: Follow the Soules Kitchen use-by date on the family pack. Leftover cooked steak: 2-3 days fridge in a sealed container. Wholly minis: per label date. Chips + tortillas: pantry shelf life.
